Craft
Craft has always played an important role in the WI. We offer a range of craft opportunities including: taster days and workshops; shows and events; courses at Denman College; Certificates and Action Packs; and, competitions and exhibitions.
WI members are known for their excellence in craft skills and are instrumental in keeping many crafts alive today. We offer members the chance to develop existing skills or learn new ones. For craft project you can do at home please go to our
Craft Projects
page.
We have been working with the
National Needlework Archive for the past three years, to put together a record of WI textiles and held an exhibition in Summer 2007. You can read more about this on the Textile Treasures exhibition page.
You can view and download a range of craft ideas and projects on our
Craft Projects
