How to join

There are several ways to join the Women's Institute: you can get involved as a WI member with your local group, become a WI associate or even set up your own WI.

Become a WI member
Become a member of your local WI and have a powerful voice on local, national and international issues. Membership offers a whole range of opportunities including monthly meetings, our membership magazine WI Life, and the chance to take part in wide-ranging activities. You can join your local WI for £27 a year by contacting your county federation or contacting us for more information.Yarmouth WI President Amy Willcock

If you aren't able to attend regular meetings, you can join as a WI Associate for £40 a year. This entitles you to our membership magazine WI Life, a copy of our Annual Review, a money-off voucher booklet and in the first year of joining, an AGM observer ticket. Please contact us for further information or visit our online shop to join today. Please note, only women can become WI associates.

Start your own WI

If there isn't a meeting in your area or if you have a group of friends or colleagues who are keen to get involved, you might like to start your own WI. We can take you through this easy process, please contact us to find out more.WI members at campaign event

Dual membership
WI members can belong to more than one WI, by paying the full membership fee to the first WI, and a further £11.75 to any additional WIs. This entitles you to take a full and active part in any additional WIs and have full voting rights on matters relating to that WI.
