Welcome to the Cornwall Federation

Cornwall is an area of great natural beauty and many unique traditions, including its own Celtic language. The county welcomes visitors throughout the year and warmly absorbs those who settle within its bounds.

Whether you have recently moved to the county or have lived here all your life, or perhaps are looking for new interests and friends, please think of joining one of the 180 WIs we have in Cornwall and be part of an organisation, which could open doors you possibly never knew existed.

Nan Collier
The Cornwall Federation offers warm friendship and the opportunity to learn together. There is such a variety of subjects and activities on offer within your local WI and within the federation; whether it be surfing the net or the waves, abseiling, pony trekking, walking, tall ships, cooking, craft, music, photography, art, the environment, visiting gardens and historic houses, travel, social occasions, exploring the county, tackling nature or national issues and many more.

In 2003 we moved into our own purpose-built county house near Truro, called Chy Noweth an Conteth (Cornish for ‘new county house’) and our members enjoy using the many facilities it has to offer. Visitors are always made welcome. Contact the friendly staff and they will be pleased to put you in touch with your local WI.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
